Flute Lesson Testimonials

I have studied with Kaili for five years and it’s been an amazing experience. Kaili has taught me so many techniques that help improve my flute skills and she constantly challenges me to improve a piece musically. She has been so supportive and understanding during my hectic school year and my lessons are always a time for me to simply enjoy playing music. Thank you for being the most wonderful teacher I could have imagined!

Kaili Maimets has been my flute teacher for several years now. I was very grateful in the first place that she was willing to take me on as an adult student who has never played the flute before. My experience with Kaili’s teaching has been wonderful: she is enthusiastic, very supportive and encouraging, provides critical advice and guidance, and ensures that both the technical and musical aspects of my playing are constantly mproving. Moreover, she always alerts me to new concerts and musical events in the city, and encourages her students to participate in students’ group playing and performances. I consider myself very lucky to have Kaili as my flute teacher, and I highly recommend her to other potential students!

My daughter (11 years old) started with Kaili at the age of 4 and she is still enjoying her lessons today. Kaili has been really accommodating with in person, and online classes. She makes classes entertaining yet encourages her students to reach their full potential and challenges their flute skills in an enjoyable and relatable way. I would recommend Kaili for anyone interested in improving their flute skills and music theory knowledge.

The past six years been so rewarding, seeing my progress from reading basic studies to now playing duets and interpreting a piece to make it more musical. It has been a fun and enjoyable journey and I always look forward to my lessons. The videos you have been posting have helped me measure my progress between lessons. I never thought I would get to this level, thank you!

Thank you for all the music and all the support that you have given me throughout these past 5 years! When I first moved to Canada, I was very worried about getting a new flute teacher and playing new pieces, but meeting you reassured me that I was going to have the best time learning, practicing, and performing for the next 5 years. First of all, I absolutely love to hear you play. You are so skilled and talented, going to your concerts were so worth it! Secondly, you always encouraged me to be more musical and to “sing”, and I think that this really made me enjoy the music so much more, and see the beauty in all the pieces. Lastly, you also taught me so many life lessons that I will always remember, like, be confident, and always remember to breathe. I have enjoyed every lesson with you, and thank you so much for showing me the beauty of music! I will make sure to continue playing in university and beyond!

Thank you so much for tonight – you made a world of difference already! Ryan came out and told me that you made the flute seem understandable and he now thinks he may actually be able to figure out how to play it. This, after over a year of struggling at school...he was much more confident and so enthused that he actually rehearsed for us and said he would consider joining the band – what a huge change after just two lessons!
